Tabletop Games (New and Returning) at Modern Myths

Hey, Modern Myths RPG guru Jim here! I’ll be sharing my highlights of our new arrivals on the gaming front. We don’t necessarily get a lot of new releases every single week of the year, so check back here every couple of weeks for the latest news.

It’s the week of Friday, May 17th, and it’s been a couple of weeks since we updated!

Magic the Gathering: Dragon’s Maze is the reason why! As usual, most of the other game companies are wary about getting their own releases swallowed by the excitement of  new Magic release, and these last couple of week shave been no exception. This set finishes up the Return to Ravnica block and follows Gatecrash.

Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the tragic cancellation of the Marvel Heroic RPG. It was a great game, and it’s a shame that MWP couldn’t retain the license, they had some great plans for it. Some of you may know that we’re kind of champions for the game here at Modern Myths, so rest assured: we managed to get our hands on some copies of the wonderful core rulebook before they disappeared from distribution. If you ever wanted to check the game out, stop by either store and check it out while we still have them! Don’t miss out on the chance to play the best RPG of 2012, possibly of the decade so far.

D&D 3.5 Deluxe Spell Compendium: The classic reprints continue, with this, arguably the single most useful and beloved 3.5 sourcebook. An indispensable resource for the serious 3.5 (or Pathfinder!) spellcaster.

Kuro: A neo-Tokyo horror RPG in the style of Uzumaki  or Gyo. It’s the near-future, and a weird supernatural event means Japan is quarantined as they figure out what happened. Great scary stuff from the publishers of Trail of Cthulhu and Night’s Black Agents. $34.99 (Hardcover RPG)
